Shelemo Shawula Kachara, M.D., M.P.H., Organization Development Specialist Email

Dr. Shawula serves as the Organization Development Specialist under the New Partners Initiative Technical Assistance project based in Kampala, Uganda. He is responsible for the oversight, coordination and direct organizational development support for CDC and HRSA NPI Round 2 and Round 3 grantees. Specifically, Dr. Shawula is responsible for conducting grantee needs assessments, assisting with implementation plans for strengthening organizational systems and processes, and coordinating technical support to grantees.

Dr. Shawula is a medical doctor and public health professional with experience in health service management, quality assurance, community health promotion, and capacity building. He has been with Initiatives since 2004, and was previously the Performance Improvement Advisor for the Essential Services for Health in Ethiopia project.

Christine Oryema Lalobo, M.A., Organization Development Adviser Email

Christine Oryema Lalobo serves as the Organization Development Adviser with the regional New Partners Initiative Technical Assistance project based in Kampala, Uganda. She is responsible for providing capacity building technical assistance in the field of organizational development to USAID’s Round 2 NPI grantees. Specifically, Ms. Lalobo is responsible for conducting grantee needs assessments, assisting with implementation plans for strengthening organizational systems and processes, and coordinating technical support to grantees.

Ms. Lalobo brings over 24 years of experience having worked directly with communities in social service delivery as well as management positions in various development programs. She also has first-hand experience providing technical and organizational assistance to grantees in 34 Government of Uganda District programs with over 40 Civil Society Organizations. Her work experience is supported by a Master’s degree and a number of short courses on health project planning, monitoring and evaluation, gender and peace building.
