CDC New Partners Initiatives (NPI) Technical Assistance

The CDC-funded New Partners Initiative (NPI) is part of the $200 million initiative created under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) intended to increase the number, involvement and capacity of community and faith-based organizational partners to support HIV/AIDS prevention and care in 15 focus countries. This contract for technical assistance to NPI grantees aims to strengthen the organizational, administrative and technical capacity of select NPI partners in seven countries: Kenya, South Africa, Haiti, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

As a subcontractor to John Snow, Inc., Initiatives will provide technical assistance to NPI grantees for: increasing the quality of program implementation for HIV/AIDS services; improving performance and service integration at government and non-government facilities; and strengthening institutional capacity by developing strategies to meet staffing requirements and improve quality of HIV/AIDS services.
