Health Care Improvement Project (HCI)
HCI (2008–2012) is a five-year Indefinite Quantity Contract awarded through the USAID Bureau for Global Health, Office of Health, Infectious Disease and Nutrition. The goal of this project is to improve the quality of health care in USAID-assisted countries with a specific focus on quality improvement, human resources planning and management, and knowledge management. Initiatives is a subcontractor to URC, the prime contract holder.
For HCI, Initiatives provides technical assistance, planning, design and implementation in the following areas: quality improvement activities; operations research studies related to quality improvement and workforce issues; and activities related to improving HR/workforce systems, processes and provider cost-effectiveness.
