USAID Global Health Technical Assistance and Support Contract, Three
In December 2006, Initiatives was awarded a Global Health indefinite quantity contract (IQC) by the United States Agency for International Development under the Technical Assistance and Support Contract (TASC3) mechanism. This is a five-year IQC with a total ceiling of $1 billion. This award allows Initiatives to continue to provide USAID with the quality services it has been recognized for under the TASC2 Global Health IQC.
USAID Missions and Bureaus will release task orders to the pre-approved TASC3 contractors, who will submit proposals for the work. The TASC3 IQC will be used to implement USAID’s strategic objectives in the areas of family planning and reproductive health; maternal and child health and nutrition; HIV/AIDS; and infectious diseases. Initiatives’ TASC3 team includes five subcontractors: Academy for Educational Development, Chemonics International, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, John Snow Inc., and the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute.
